Class Happenings!


A small group reads a play about the Patriots and Loyalist to help understand different viewpoints behind the Revolutionary War
Ethan and Kayla read poetry books written by their peers.


Watch out Coastal NC, here we come! 

Check today's Monday folder for a Packing List, Itinerary, and a Permission Slip for picking students up after the field trip on Friday at 9pm. Drop-off on Friday morning begins at 5:45. Buses will leave parking lot promptly at 6am. Please send your child with a hearty snack, drinks and lunch. Student will be provided with two additional snacks during the day.
Please return the Permission Slip by this Wednesday so we can be sure everyone has arrangements for pick up. Thanks so much for your help in making this a safe, smooth trip!

Symphony Trip
We will leave for the Symphony performance at 10 am. The show should last from 10:30-11:30. We will have a normal lunch schedule.

  • Language Arts: Identifying character traits, plot and theme in myths, legends, tall tales. Homophones, Wordly Wise Vocabulary, writing non-fiction and fiction
  • Math: Measurement- Customary and Metric Systems
  • Social Studies: NC State Government
  • Science: Animal Studies with Mr. Ash
